Indy Toxic Heritage: Digital Archives

By on May 13, 2024

Community stories and experiences are at the heart of our work.

Indy Toxic Heritage Community Archive is a crowd-sourced digital archive that connects stories and experiences across Indianapolis. It’s goal is to:

  • Raise awareness of Indianapolis’ toxic heritage
  • Amplify the voices of those living in affected communities and working for environmental justice
  • Create space for conversations about moving toward more sustainable and just futures.

We welcome your contributions!

  • Do you have a story, poem, drawing, photo, audio recording or other something else that tells of your experience with environmental harm or with environmental advocacy and justice work?
  • If you’re willing to share it, visit the archive and walk through the simple steps to upload your account of environmental harm or advocacy and activism.
  • If you’re not sure how to tell your story, check out this storytelling activity to inspire you!

Visit the archive and learn about other people’s experiences of Indy’s toxic heritage and what they’re doing about it.
